国际学者教育研究方法使用的基本特征与启示——基于《美国教育研究期刊》的分析Characteristics and Implications of International Scholars' Educational Research Methods Use——Analysis of the American Educational Research Journal

摘要(Abstract):
教育研究界十分重视研究方法使用的规范性和严谨性。1999-2018年间发表于《美国教育研究期刊》的684篇实证文章,以量化研究为主导,数据收集方式多样,描述统计和质性解释是基础分析技术,不同主题的主导研究方法具有差异。从纵向历史看,20年来,实验研究占比明显增长,案例研究占比下降;量化数据收集方式增幅明显,质性数据收集方式占比缩小;篇均数据分析技术使用增加,分析技术呈现多样化特征。期刊研究方法的变化趋势,勾勒出教育研究范式争论和宏观决策对研究界的影响,数据的收集和分析技术呈现出教育研究方法的精进与沉淀。在加强教育科学研究背景下,我国教育研究应以研究方法突破为重要契机,加快整合各级各类教育数据库,革新高校研究方法课程建设。
The educational research community values normalization and rigor of research method use. The 684 empirical articles published in the American Educational Research Journal from 1999 to 2018 were mostly quantitative research with diverse data collection methods. Among these articles,descriptive statistics and qualitative interpretation are basic analytical techniques,while the leading research methods on different topics vary.During the past two decades,the proportion of experimental research increased,and the proportion of case studies decreased;the quantitative data collection method increased significantly while the qualitative data collection method decreased;data analysis techniques per article increased with diversity. The changed trend of research methods in journals outlined the influences from educational research paradigm debates and macro-politic decisions to the research community. The data collection and analysis techniques reflected the refinement and precipitation of educational research methods. In the context of strengthening education scientific research,domestic education researchers should view research methods improvement as an opportunity,accelerate educational databases construction at all levels,and renovate research method courses in universities.
