勇于开放:IB为何会在美国公立学校中获得快速发展
The Courage to Open up to the Outside World:Why IB has Achieved Rapid Development in Public Schools of the United States

摘要(Abstract):

随着全球化的发展,国际教育在世界各地愈加受欢迎,尤其是作为"国际教育领跑者"的国际文凭(IB)教育在全球不断扩展。尤其是IB在美国公立学校中的推广大获成功,并且呈现出一种"从精英走向大众"的独特现象。这种现象背后的政策成因在于美国政府的支持,IB项目对美国教育产生了一些积极影响,包括提高教育质量,促进公平,推动公立学校走向国际化,以及提升教师质量等。尽管IB项目在美国的快速发展引起了一些争议,但这种争议并没有成为主流之声,IB项目仍将在争议中继续发展。
Under the background of globalization,international education has attracted great attention all over the world,especially International Baccalaureate(IB),the top runner of international education,which has been expanding for the past decades. In particular,the promotion of IB in American public schools has been a great success,which presents a unique phenomenon of "from the elite to the masses". The policy cause behind this phenomenon lies in the support of the U.S. goverment. IB has had some positive impacts on American education,especially on the public schools,including improving academic achievement,promoting equity,internationalizing public schools,and improving the quality of teachers. Although the rapid development of IB in the United States has also caused some controversies in American society,this kind of dispute has not become a mainstream voice,and IB will continue to develop in this controversy.
