国际教育与国家利益:冷战时期——以“外国领袖项目”为中心

摘要(Abstract):

冷战时期,美国将国际教育作为培养外国对美国友好的领导层的重要措施,通过国际教育项目,塑造外国领导人、潜在的领袖人物以及青年领袖的价值观,来培育外国领导层对美国的友好和忠诚。同时,美国希望其培养的外国精英能够将美式政治经济和文化观念输入到自己的国家,促进社会转型。另外,国际教育还成为美国争夺人才、构建教育领导权的重要途径之一。总体而言,美国国际教育如何培养外国精英并促进其社会变革以及构建美国在全球教育领导权的历史是未来需要进一步研究的重要问题。
During the Cold War period,the United States employed international education to establish and maintain friendly political regimes in foreign states. The "friendliness" or loyalty of foreign political regimes was achieved through legitimizing rival political and cultural values among leader groups and youth leaders in foreign countries. International education became one of the powerful vehicles to push the transformation of their societies. International education became a measures of talent attraction and the construction of education leadership all over the world. In general,how American international education prepares foreign elites and promotes their social change,as well as constructing the history of American leadership in global education,are important issues that need further research in the future.
