波普尔科学哲学思想对霍姆斯和埃德蒙·金的比较教育理论的影响初探

摘要(Abstract):

霍姆斯和埃德蒙·金都是比较教育领域的著名学者,二人的比较教育理论和方法均承袭于波普尔的科学哲学思想,但在各自的发展过程中却起到了不同的作用,霍姆斯提出了问题解决法,金则绘制出了教育决策动态发展流程图,二人的比较教育理论均体现了波普尔否证论和逐步社会工程的思想,但由于对波普尔观点理解的差异,二人又有各自不同的创新性。在厘清他们二人比较教育思想的哲学渊源之后,我们可以体会到波普尔科学哲学思想对比较教育学科方法论的影响。
Holmes and King are well-known scholars in the field of comparative education.Their comparative educational theories and methods inherited Popper’s philosophy of science.But they are playing a different roles in their own developmental process. Holmes promoted the problem-solving approach,while King mapped out the dynamic development chart of the eudcational policy. Both of them have reflected Popper’s thinking of falsificationism and the piecemeal social engineering. However,because of the different understanding of Popper’s theory,they all had their own thinking and innovation. After clarifying the two comparative educational philosophy origin,the paper analyzs the influence of the Popper’s philosophy of science to the methodology of comparative education.
