加拿大教育博士项目:目标、举措与特色——以英属哥伦比亚大学为例

摘要(Abstract):

加拿大的专业博士教育深受美国影响,但又力求体现本土化特色。世界一流大学英属哥伦比亚大学的教育博士项目致力于培养学术实践者,在消解学术与实践藩篱的过程中重塑包含了学习者、研究者、实践者和管理者四个核心要素的专业身份。项目开创了基于教育关键利益相关者划定招生对象范围;开设以研究训练为主的教育博士课程;推行具有成人学习特征的组群学习模式;实施以研究能力考察为主的过程考核等实践举措。项目充分体现了追求卓越、彰显个性、突出实践、重视合作等教育特色。
EdD(Doctor of Education)Program in Canada is deeply influenced by the United States,but in the meanwhile strives to embody local features. The EdD Program of the University of British Columbia,a world-class university,is dedicated to cultivating scholarly practitioners and reshaping their professional identity,which includes four core elements of being a learner,a researcher,a practitioner and an administrator,in the process of bridging theory and practice. The program has taken a range of steps:being the first to initiate enrollment targeting key stakeholders in education;curriculum focusing on research training;cohort-based learning model attending to adult learners;and process assessment on research capability. The program forms special features on the pursuit of excellence,individualization,practice-oriented,and collaboration.
